Sheepskin Jackets, Vests and Ponchos
We have sold sheepskin for the home for more than a decade. The same skins, cut and sewn a different way, turn into something you can wear. That is what this page is: shearling coats and jackets, a long sleeveless vest and two pull-on ponchos, all made by NATURES COLLECTION.
Shearling jackets and coats
Jill is the oversized one. New Zealand shearling sheepskin, a big collar, round buttons and two patch pockets sitting on the front. Sevilla is double face sheepskin, so the same skin faces in and out, and it closes with four hidden black studs instead of buttons. Savannah is the clever one: leather on one side, short hair New Zealand sheepskin on the other, so you can turn it inside out and wear it as two different coats. Prices run from $2,099 to $2,999 and sizes go from XS up to XXL depending on the cut.
Vests
The Carmen Vest is cut long and sleeveless in shearling lamb, in black, camel, blue grey and port royal. It goes over a shirt without the weight of a coat, which is why it works indoors as well as on the street. XS to XXL, $2,199.
Ponchos
Antonella and Elvira are the lightest pieces here at $749. Both are one size and soft enough to pull straight over a sweater. Antonella comes in beige, taupe and teddy brown. Elvira adds white and a small leather belt at the waist if you want to pull the shape in.
Sizing and fit
The jackets are cut generously. If you are between two sizes and want a closer line, take the smaller one, and take the larger one if you plan to wear a thick knit underneath. Looking after it
Sheepskin does not want a washing machine. Air the coat somewhere cool after a long day out, brush the hair side gently in one direction, and keep it well away from a radiator. Marks on the leather side usually lift with a barely damp cloth and nothing more. There is a longer version in our care guide.
