Natural colored sheepskin

Nothing here has been dyed. Every shade is the color the hide grew, which is why the range is narrower and the variation within it is wider.

The natural range

Ivory and cream are the most common. Honey, caramel and toffee come from brown fleeced sheep. Grey through charcoal to near black comes mostly from Scandinavian and Icelandic flocks, often with several tones running through one hide.

Because these are unaltered, no two are the same, and a photograph can only ever show you one of them. Markings, tips and shading all vary.

Natural hides also age more gracefully than dyed ones, since there is no surface color to fade unevenly in sunlight.
