Curly sheepskin

Curly hides have hair that grows in tight spirals rather than straight lengths. The texture is sculptural, the surface catches light in a way flat hides do not, and the pelts stay light and easy to move.

How it behaves

Curls give you texture without bulk. That makes these hides good over furniture, where they drape and hold their shape, and less suited to open floors where the curls flatten underfoot.

The curl is natural rather than set, so it softens a little with handling and comes back when the hide is shaken out.

Most curly hides are Mongolian, sometimes sold elsewhere as Tibetan.
