What we make
Some requests are small, like a set of seat covers. Some are a whole chair. Custom pieces are made in our own design studio in Denmark, with a sewing room, a joinery and an upholstery workshop under one roof.

Pick a wood
These are the woods we build with today, photographed on our own chairs, stools and benches. Not every wood comes on every piece, so tell us what you like and we will tell you what works.
Natural oak
A warm honey tone with a clear, straight grain. The wood on most of our chairs and stools.

Pick a sheepskin or cowhide
Choose long hair, short hair or curly sheepskin, or cowhide, then the color. These are the skins we put on furniture today, and each one is a real hide, so no two look quite the same.

New Zealand long hair
Long, soft hair that drapes. Many colors, from Ivory and Linen to Honey, Taupe and Black.

Short, dense hair with a soft curl that sits close. The upholstery on our lounge chairs and bar stools.

Tibetan curly
Long hair in soft corkscrew curls, full of texture, from Ivory to Arctic Sunrise.

Long hair in natural colors like Spotted, Rusty Brown, Off White and Natural Grey.

Cowhide with the hair on. Every hide is marked differently, so no two pieces are the same.

How it works

1. Describe what you want made
Use the form below. Tell us what the piece is, the size, the sheepskin and the wood. A rough idea is enough to start.

2. We reply by email
A real person reads your request and writes back with questions, options and a quote for your piece.

3. You say yes
When the details and the quote look right, you approve them. Asking costs nothing, and nothing is made before you say yes.

4. We make it and ship it
We match the skins by hand for color and length, then cut, sew and build your piece in our design studio in Denmark and ship it to you.

What does it cost, and how long does it take?
Both depend on the piece, the size and the skins, so we answer them for your request when we reply. It costs nothing to ask.
Can I send a photo or a sketch?
Yes, please. They help us understand what you have in mind. Email them to hello@sheepskinhouse.com, or add them to your reply once we have written back.
Will my piece look like the photos?
Close, but not identical. Every skin is a real hide, so shade and texture vary a little from one to the next. We match the skins by hand for color and length. Because every skin is natural, allow a little tolerance on the size too.
Where is it made?
Custom pieces are made in our own design studio in Jutland, Denmark. The sewing room, the joinery and the upholstery workshop are under one roof there.
