One hide, one rug

A single sheepskin rug is exactly that: one tanned hide, kept in the shape it grew in. Nothing is trimmed square, so the outline curves and no two are the same.

Sizes and uses

Singles start around 26x18 in and run up to a full adult pelt. That is the right size for a dining or desk chair, a stool, the side of a bed, or a reading chair where you want warmth without covering the floor. They are also the easiest size to move around, which is why most people buy their first sheepskin as a single.
